A typical roll of film expires about two years after it’s manufactured—but once it’s past that date, anything can happen. Expired film often yields unexpected results, with effects like color shifts, fading, fogging, and a distinct magenta cast.

Bodega is a locally owned film lab that embraces the beauty of expired film. Its custom typeface echoes the fluid, curling motion of a film roll, while the visual identity draws from the everyday, vintage aesthetic of Wolfgang Tillmans’s photography.
